Company ProfileMarshall-Fowler (SA) (PTY) Ltd was formed in 1974 in partnership with Marshall-Fowler UK of Gainsborough. We started off with the local manufacture, under licence, of electrode steam and hot water boilers. In 1975 the UK shareholding in Marshall-Fowler (SA) (PTY) Ltd was aquired and in 1980 we established our own factory in Randfontein South Africa to manufacture and service electrode boilers and ancillary equipment for the Southernn African thermal engineering field. The Marshall-Fowler range of electrode boilers (backed by more than 80 years combined staff expertise) was developed and adapted to suit local conditions. In 1984 we introduced our revolutionary mini steam genertor which incorporates all the features and cotrols unique to Marshall-Fowler boilers. Most of our steam boilers are used in hospitals, abattoirs, mines, food processing plants, agricultural applications and textile factories and including allied applications. The hot water boilers are widely used for air conditioning, certain applications in abattoirs and wherever hot water is required. Our range of electrode boilers extends from 10kW to 3mW and up to 3.5mW on the shell boiler range. We extended our activities to shell boilers, humidifiers, unfired steam generators, calorifiers, heat exchangers. waste heat boilers and lately to designing and building grease kettles and solid fuel stokers. In collaboration with ESKOM (Electricity Supply Commision of South Africa), we recently developed an electrode steam conditioner for soil and compost sterilisation. A general machine shop was also established. BioAfrica (PTY) Ltd, and many other satisfied customers, use our Purpoise Built Steam Generating Electrodes to extract essential oils and for compost sterilisation. Marshall-Fowler (SA) (PTY) Ltd is accredited to and certified by "The British Standards Institution" Certificate No. FM 57352 which complies with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:1994.
